The Department’s curriculum planning meets the needs of the industry for the talents with practical skills, and enables the Department to cultivate students to be capable of playing the seven different roles in workplaces: landscape planners, landscape designer, construction drawing and budgeting personnel, landscape engineering and management personnel, gardening technicians, and plant maintenance managers, etc.
The Department requires students to acquire a certificate or license of Level B technician or 2 certificates or licenses of Level C technician before graduation. The requirement motivates students to acquire professional certificates and licenses and enhances their future employment
competitiveness. To strengthen students’ practical ability and employability, the Department, which has great interaction with the industry, holds lectures on landscape practice and internship and employment seminars, invites landscape architects to assess students’ works, and employs teachers from the industry to assist in teaching.
