Undergraduates

  • Students should complete at least 131 credits before graduation, includes 104 required credits, 27 elective credits (elective credits should have at least 18 credits from professional elective courses).
  • Please follow the rule of “English, Computer Ability and Service Learning Graduation Threshold in National Chin-Yi University of Technology”.
  • Before graduation, each student should complete Academic Research Ethics Education Course, which is 2 hours required course with 0 credit.
  • Liberal Arts General Study courses provided by College of General Education, are divided into 2 hours course with 2 credits or 3 hours course with 3 credits, ratified by the School Course Committee in 2012.
  • Students should complete the practice in whose professional required courses (0 credit/ 320 hours) before graduation.
  • Students can apply to waive「Multiple Internship Courses」once completing【Field Practice Professional Elective Courses】and cumulating no less than 320 internship hours. (In order to meet graduation requirements, students must comply with graduation credits and conditions.)
  • According to the “Guidelines for Off-Campus Student Internships in NCUT" and " Operation Guidelines for Off-Campus Student Internships in EE", students must select one of the following of professional elective courses before their graduation, including “Extracurricular Intern " and " Mentor-Apprentice Internship Course for Project ".

graduate students

  • Before graduation, each student should complete at least 34 credits including 10 required credits (6 credits for Thesis and 4 credits for Seminar) and 24 elective credits (at least 24 credits should be completed from professional elective courses).
  • Before graduation, each student should complete Academic Research Ethics Education Course, which is 6 hours required course with 0 credit.
  • Graduate students have to complete at least 24 credits offered by the teachers in the department (not including Degree Thesis and Seminar courses). For research needs, ones can take courses offered by other departments after the approvals of supervisor and director of department, which are counted in 24 graduate credits where at most 6 credits is adopted, in addition,language courses (like Technical Japanese, Technical English, Technical Thesis Writing and Engineering German) at most 3 credits are adopted.
  • Graduate students have to pass the oral defense for graduation. Once graduation, ones are awarded Master Degrees of Science in Engineering.
  • One granting an admission with the same educational level or non-major related graduation should add to the roll of related courses offered in the undergraduate department as needed, in which earned credits are not included in the graduate credit calculation.
  • Graduate students have to complete the following requirements (at least one of them) duration of study: passing the intermediate General English Proficiency Test (GEPT) and doing an oral English presentation at international conferences or Seminars.
