Course Information

The arrangement and design of the courses are based on the students' future goals, and continue to provide advice and counseling by professionals. The regular course content of relevant meetings is carried out with school activities and reviewed the courses to meet the needs of industry. At the same time, off-campus internships and industrial internships are provided, so that students have the opportunity to participate in learning during the school. The department of IAE plans "application engineering" and "relevant course content" in the field of machine-optical integration application for the lively smart future of the job market, especially in terms of elective courses. There are 28 related courses planned, among which are to strengthen students' professional knowledge and implement practical practices. Meanwhile, there are also 18 courses provided for the practical and internship courses, and the proportion of those majors exceeds 60% of total credits. Students can meet with the needs of industry. The characteristics of the curriculum planning of this department are as follows:

1. Practical learning is required, so the proportion of practical or internship courses exceeds 60% of total credits.

2. Encourage participation in practical competition and complete the practical exercises through “special projects” course training. Special Projects competition will be held by department of IAE every year and all students must participate.

3. Implement license counseling. We plan the "Computer assisted mechanical drawing" course in the first year of the program. Under this training, students will be encouraged to obtain the second and third-level licenses of the computer-aided mechanical technician.

4. Cultivate cross-domain skills. In the course design, the department of IAE also plans the "Intelligent Advanced Process and Artificial Intelligence Cross-Field Credit Course", which will be implemented together with the College of Electrical Engineering to cultivate students' cross-academic integration skills.
