Introduction

The University officially established the Department of Leisure Sports Management in 2004 and was renamed as the “Department of Leisure Industry Management” on August 1, 2008. The Department has two core modules, i.e. Tourism Management and Sport Management.
It has three programs which include the four-year vocational training during the daytime, the four-year vocational training during the night time (continuing education), and the four-year specialized vocational training (the flagship plan for its dual training system). These programs recruit senior high school graduates who majored in Business Management, Tourism and Catering, and English. Since 2016, the university’s Project Management and Research Institute have merged into the Department, and hence the Master’s Program of Project Management for the Department of Leisure Industry Management came into being. The program began enrolling students in 2016.
