Directions for the Scholarship Granted by TeraSoft, Inc. to Students under Poverty Line

1.The scholarship is established to encourage students under poverty line at NCUT Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering to study hard consistently.

2.Award date: It depends on the date when TeraSoft, Inc. appropriates and transfers the fund to NCUT. If there is any change, students will be informed.

3.Applicants: Students under poverty line in any program at NCUT Department (or Graduate Institute) of Computer Science and Information Engineering

​​​​​​​4.Number of award recipients and the amount: Six students; NT$5,000 per student

​​​​​​​5.Students apply for the scholarship in April and in October every year. Each student shall be granted the scholarship for only once.

​​​​​​​6.Conditions of scholarship application:

Application conditions:

1.The applicant is studying in a program provided by the Department (or Graduate Institute). The applicant’s family is under poverty line or needs to be helped financially with supporting facts.

2.The applicant’s grade of Conduct in the latest semester is 70 or above.

3.The applicant is not a student that has delayed graduation due to failure to acquire enough credits.

The scholarship is granted to students under poverty line who have satisfied the following conditions.

1.The applicant’s family is listed as a low-income household in the latest year. (The low-income household certificate issued by the township / district office shall be attached.) A family that suffers a calamity will be the top priority for consideration.

2.The applicant has the certificate of low income issued by the chief of village (or by the class tutor). The annual income of his /her family in the latest year is less than NT$300,000. Compared with other families of applicants, the family with the lowest average income of each person in the household will be the priority for consideration.

3.A family that suffers a calamity will be the top priority for consideration.

Application procedures and review:

Each applicant shall submit:

1.Application form (including the documents mentioned above)

2.A transcript for the latest semester

3.Certificate of low income, or family income list, or a certificate of low income issued by the class tutor

In case of any vacancy in a semester, it can be reserved to the “next semester”.

Award date:

The scholarship will be granted to scholarship winners in public during the assembly held by the Department.

The Directions and any amendment to the Directions shall be implemented after being discussed by the Student Affairs Committee of the Department and adopted at the Meeting of Departmental Affairs.
